The following terms and conditions apply to all orders made on aubainerie.com.
Aubainerie requests that you read these terms and conditions carefully, since by proceeding with an online purchase transaction, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Prices and taxes
The prices displayed on aubainerie.com do not include sales taxes or shipping fees.
Aubainerie charges sales tax on items ordered through this website. HST or local retail sales tax depends on the shipping address and will be calculated at the billing step of the order.
5% GST (Goods and Services Tax) is added to all orders in all provinces except the following where HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) is added to all orders: Nova Scotia (15%) and Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador (13%). In addition, provincial sales tax is added to all orders in Quebec (9.975%).
If you return an item for a refund, the taxes you paid for that item will also be refunded. However, you will not be refunded for the taxes paid on the shipping and handling fees for that item, as these charges are not refundable once the package has been shipped.
Sales tax exemption for indigenous people
In accordance with federal and provincial requirements, any person with Indian status under the Indian Act is eligible for sales tax exemption for online purchases if the following conditions are met:
- You meet the government requirements related to the tax exemption;
- The goods are delivered to a reserve;
- A signed copy of the certificate of Indian status (both sides) is sent by email to service@aubainerie.com.
If any of these conditions are not met, sales taxes must be paid.
Delivery
Aubainerie will deliver your order to an address in Canada, according to the shipping method selected.
We strive to ship orders as quickly as possible, respecting the order in which they were submitted. Although our priority is to deliver your order as quickly as possible, shipping may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond our control.
Accuracy of information
Aubainerie cannot guarantee that the information or elements appearing on aubainerie.com are accurate or free of error. Therefore, while we take every step to ensure that the information is accurate and up to date, it is possible that errors or omissions may appear in the content of this website, such as product descriptions, prices or product availability.
Moreover, the dates of offers, prices or availability of items offered on our website may change without notice.
We work constantly to present only the items offered and to renew our inventory on a regular basis. However, it is possible that an item, size or colour may be missing from inventory when you place your order. Once your order has been processed, you will receive an order confirmation indicating the date your order was received and the availability and price of each item ordered. Occasionally, we may have to cancel an order placed on our website if, for example, the items ordered cannot be shipped due to unforeseen circumstances.
While we strive to meet your needs to the best of our ability, we reserve the right to revise an inaccurate price or item description and to cancel or refuse an order for an item with an inaccurate price or description. These corrections may be made after the order has been confirmed.
Product condition
We make every effort to display the items on our website as accurately as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that the colour representation on your screen is accurate.
In addition, if the merchandise purchased presents any manufacturing defect or if it appears to have been damaged during shipping, we invite you to immediately return the merchandise accompanied by the return form provided in your package, by following the procedure to this effect.
Change or cancellation of an order
You can check and modify your shopping cart as many times as you wish before clicking on “Proceed to checkout” and proceed to the billing, shipping and payment steps.
It is impossible to cancel or make any changes to an order once all payment steps have been completed.
You must therefore wait until you receive your items, return them to us by mail or at an Aubainerie store, and we will be able to proceed with the refund of your items.
Aubainerie guarantees the full refund of any item returned in accordance with the policy to this effect.
Limits
We reserve the right to refuse any order placed on our website, for reasonable reasons.
We may, at our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, credit card, or orders with the same billing or shipping address.
If an order is changed or cancelled, we will attempt to notify you by email or at the billing address or telephone number provided at the time of order.
We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to have been placed by merchants, resellers or distributors.

Aubainerie respects your right to privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information. All information and transactions are encrypted and protected by the highest IT security standards.
